On March 11, 2025, the “Minglida & Hikvision Supplier Quality Data Exchange Project: Eagle Eye Plan 2.0 Kickoff Meeting” was successfully held in Tongliang, Chongqing. Centered on the theme “Making Quality Management Smarter and Simpler,” the event brought together technical experts, management teams, and supplier representatives from both companies to explore how digital solutions can enhance supply chain quality management efficiency and establish an industry benchmark for intelligent transformation.
I. Project Background: Addressing Core Quality Management Challenges
Current supplier quality management faces three major challenges: low execution efficiency, data gaps, and traceability difficulties. In response, the Eagle Eye Plan was launched to achieve early detection and interception of quality risks through data visualization management, AI-assisted decision-making, and end-to-end traceability, thereby safeguarding supply chain quality.
II. Eagle Eye Initiative: See Clearly, See Far, See Everything
(1) Core Project Functions
Intelligent Inspection: Key processes and shipment inspections digitized with real-time mobile operations and automated data collection;
Risk Alerting: Dimension fluctuation analysis, anomaly batch identification, and AI-driven dynamic monitoring of high-risk materials;
Data Dashboards: Visualize supplier quality performance, 8D closed-loop data, market feedback, and other multi-dimensional metrics;
Full-Chain Traceability: Production batches and shipment batches “bound by a single code,” achieving 100% precise traceability.
(II) Pilot Objectives
1. Complete trial operation for 4 pilot suppliers by 2024, reducing material responsibility overtime rates and defect rates by 50%;
2. Gradually expand to 34 key structural component suppliers starting in 2025, ultimately achieving full coverage.
III. Supplier Case Studies: Transformation from Offline to Online
Several suppliers shared their system integration solutions, demonstrating the impact of the Eagle Eye Initiative:
Efficiency gains: Bluetooth calipers and mobile terminals replaced paper reports, boosting inspection efficiency by 30%.
Management optimization: Structured inspection standards and cloud-based data sharing eliminated human operational errors.
Cost Savings: Intelligent batch management reduces redundant inspections, boosting warehouse efficiency by 40%.
Through systematic data management, our anomaly traceback time has shrunk from 3 days to 1 hour, enabling rapid resolution of quality issues.
IV. Technical Support: MES System Enables Full-Process Digital Management
Equipment Interconnection: Real-time monitoring of equipment status with visualized uptime trends;
Production Transparency: Work order synchronization, process QR scanning, and progress boards ensure precise, controllable production;
Quality Closed-Loop: Online management of incoming material, in-process, and shipping inspections; anomalies automatically trigger Andon alerts.
V. Future Roadmap: Steady Advancement, Industry Empowerment
Project development unfolds in five phases: network/hardware deployment, system development/testing, formal launch/training, and summary/optimization. By 2026, the project will expand to include modules such as order visibility and risk inventory management, building a supply chain quality management ecosystem.
Smart Quality Inspection, Shared Future Success. The Eagle Eye Initiative represents not only technological innovation but also an upgrade in quality management thinking. Through data-driven insights and intelligent collaboration, Minglida and Hikvision are committed to providing the industry with replicable, scalable digital solutions, empowering suppliers to achieve self-regulated quality in smart manufacturing.
